"The personal touch makes all the difference"

The location is superb, the views amazing and the rooms clean and well-appointed, but what really sets the Anchorage apart is the atmosphere created by Craig and Annette - such a friendly, relaxed and welcoming vibe. You feel like you're on a friend's farm (of course you can take the kayak out for a spin) and you can just feel the stress slipping away as you sink into your chair next to the pool and watch the river pass by. As a newbie to Stilbaai I always got spot-on advice about the best places to go and things to do (not just the well-known spots), and it was always delivered in such a way as I felt that they had all the time in the world to answer my questions. Thanks, guys, for making our trip such a special one.

"Traumlodge"

Ende November haben wir im B&B Anchorage 5 traumhafte und gemütliche Tage verbracht. Das Anchorage liegt direkt am Fluss und wir konnten mit den für die Gäste bereitgestellten Booten umherpaddeln. Es gibt auch einen schönen Pool mit Aufenthaltsraum, Grillmöglichkeiten und eine kleine Selbstversorgerküche mit allen Utensiien, so dass man bei einem gemütlichen Abendessen auf der "eigenen" Terasse mit Blick auf den Fluss die Abendstimmung geniessen kann. Die Zimmer sind sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und die Gastgeber Annette und Craig haben sich um alle unsere Anliegen und Wünsche sehr freundlich gekümmert. Der nahe Indische Ozean hat hier einen traumhaften Sandstrand zu bieten. Beim nächsten Mal Südafrika steht diese Lodge auf alle Fälle wieder auf unserem Programm. Macht weiter so Annette und Craig!!

"Best guest house"

I recently stayed at The Anchorage and had the best experience. Every detail is catered to even though it is self catering. The rooms are spacious and clean and the owners are so friendly and helpful. They cook the best breakfast! View of the bay is beautiful from the rooms. Cannot wait to go back again.
