"Wonderful Stay"

We had a few wonderful days at the Anchorage. Thank you to Annette and Craig for their extraordinary hospitality. If you look for a modern yet cosy and peaceful place to stay at good price, this is the place to go. We had a lovely decorated clean room with river view and a nice terrace. The surroundings are beautiful, with the river just 50m away and the beach nearby. The children especially enjoyed the pool and the canoeing. We will definitely be back!

This is truly a lovely place and an unexpected true pleasure. The room was spacious and modern, with all amenities provided. The hosts, Annette and Craig, were friendly and extremely accommodating with everything we required. Their stylish personal touch obvious on the property and attention to detail and ideas, add, to the already natural beauty of this spot. The pool and lounge area is stunning and to be enjoyed. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in The Anchorage and it added value to our vacation in Stilbaai.  5-Star Rating *****

Perfect Location

Great location and fabulous hosts	Perfect location, but most importantly, a wonderful couple who own the place. We were made to feel like family although we only stayed there two days. French toast a must for breakfast.

"Hidden Gem"

We booked this place when our first choice was full. However, when we arrived we found out that Annette and Craig were the ones that previously owned our first chioce, so that worked out well. And this place is so much nicer, in a great place by the river. New swimming pool and lounge area for guests is just the job, and the rooms have everything in them that you would need if you decided to self cater.
The dogs on site are just a delight, even if you aren't a fan of animals, these are great.
Craig even gave us a lift out to the starting point of a great walk (approx 3-4 hrs) along the cliffs and beaches.
Canoes are available if you want to go out on the river.
If you opt for the breakfasts you'll probably find the French toast a speciality of Annettes. Should definitely try it.
Will definitely return as Craig and Annette were just the perfect hosts.

"Perfectly Peaceful"

My boyfriend and I spent our last night here on our way back from Natures Valley and what a treat The Anchorage was! Beautiful views and very tranquil. Annette and Craig were very welcoming. The rooms were light, bright and spacious and we enjoyed having sundowners on our balcony. We really appreciated the stunning plunger coffee in the kitchenette with all the other necessities as we chose the self catering option. We will most definitely be back!
