My boyfriend and I spent our last night here on our way back from Natures Valley and what a treat The Anchorage was! Beautiful views and very tranquil. Annette and Craig were very welcoming. The rooms were light, bright and spacious and we enjoyed having sundowners on our balcony. We really appreciated the stunning plunger coffee in the kitchenette with all the other necessities as we chose the self catering option. We will most definitely be back!

The Anchorage in Stillbay / Stilbaai is a stunning place to relax and spend the best days of your trip. Annette and Craig are a super friendly and attentive couple, easy to talk to and respecting your privacy. The place is beautiful with gorgeous river views not far from the almost empty beach. When we were there (first days of October 12) the swimming pool was almost finished.
A real place to unwind with excellent hosts. The venues feel like 5 star and is being cleaned on a daily basis. Annette and Craig really make you feel at home. Their dogs are extensions of their personalities, everyone will love them. It is imperative for all guest to at least play catch with Jimmy (one of their pet dog) once.
The self-catering units have a great view of the river which is about 150m away and canoes are freely available for the guests to go about and enjoy the river. The Anchorage also has a swimming pool with a “chill” area near it whereby Saturday Sport can be watched on the big flat screen tv.
The premises is safe and really quiet and at night you hear various farm animals such as sheep in the distance. Shops are near and sells everything one would need for a very long stay. The Anchorage is the ultimate venue to come and enjoy the peace and quiet, that is why it is my 3rd time I’ve come and stayed at The Anchorage and is looking forward to the next time!

Wir waren eigentlich nur zufällig auf Empfehlung der Tourist Information in Stilbaai auf das "The Anchorage" gestoßen, weil wir eine Übernachtung auf dem Weg von Stellenbosch nach Knysna suchten. Wie schade, dass wir nur eine Nacht bleiben konnten. Gerne hätten wir noch länger die überaus herzliche Gastfreundschaft von Annette und Craig genossen. Wir bekamen ein sehr geräumiges, geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Zimmer. Von der Terrasse aus, hatte man einen schönen Ausblick auf den geruhsam dahinfließenden Fluss. Sehr liebevoll auch der Pool und die Lounge. Das Frühstück wurde mit viel Liebe hergerichtet und schmeckte prima.
