Our room was bright, sunny and welcoming with thoughtful touches everywhere. Beautiful views from the room and the quaint balcony with privacy and quiet surrounding us. We traveled this way for a wedding, but would visit here again for a holiday based on my stay at this wonderful place.

The Anchorage has extremely friendly hosts, who recommended a wonderful walk and even drove us to the start of it. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The rooms are charming and the surrounding area delightful. This is definitely a place to come back to.

The location is superb, the views amazing and the rooms clean and well-appointed, but what really sets the Anchorage apart is the atmosphere created by Craig and Annette - such a friendly, relaxed and welcoming vibe. You feel like you're on a friend's farm (of course you can take the kayak out for a spin) and you can just feel the stress slipping away as you sink into your chair next to the pool and watch the river pass by. As a newbie to Stilbaai I always got spot-on advice about the best places to go and things to do (not just the well-known spots), and it was always delivered in such a way as I felt that they had all the time in the world to answer my questions. Thanks, guys, for making our trip such a special one.
